Lead service
Tele-neurohospitalist coverage
Inpatient neurology for hospitals that need capacity on the wards, not a cart of one-off visits. Consults, daily follow-up, and discharge plans, seven days a week, by video.
What the hospital gets
- Inpatient neurology consults by video.
- Daily follow-ups, seven days a week.
- Discharge plans written with the hospital team.
- Notes entered in the hospital's EMR.
- Neurology capacity without opening a search for an employed neurologist.
- A fully remote service. Nothing in this program requires a Fieldstone Neuro clinic.
How it sits with telestroke
Urgent stroke alerts and other acute calls are covered around the clock on the telestroke service. The neurohospitalist service is the inpatient practice: consults and daily follow-ups, seven days a week. The two are built to run together.
How it is paid
The hospital keeps the professional billing under a reassignment agreement. Fieldstone Neuro bills the hospital a fixed, pre-agreed fee. Fees are set at fair market value and are never tied to the volume or value of referrals. Dollar amounts are not published. They are written on the term sheet.
